Description:
The Event Sales Improvement Co-ordinator will undertake market research linked to the sales strategy and identify business opportunities across all business areas. These include, but are not limited to, Concerts, Meetings, Bed & Breakfast, Group Travel, Summer Schools, Functions, Weddings, Residential Conferences, Student and University Promotions, in line with the University’s strategic objectives. The post holder will also be responsible for training and supporting the Sales team on a day-to-day basis.
First and foremost, the position will play a significant role in helping to position Exeter as a key Hospitality, Conferencing and Events destination in the South West of England, with the overarching aim of maximising income
Candidates will have the experience of working within a proactive commercial team environment. The role requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage and work closely with university stakeholders, external partners and clients. The successful candidate will be flexible, customer-focused and target driven and have a passion for working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
