FIRST, a globally recognized and award-winning brand experience agency, is seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Event Technology Manager to join their hybrid team based in London. As a key part of their FIRST Solutions division, this role is embedded within a high-profile financial services account, giving you an exciting opportunity to work on complex and impactful event projects from conception to execution.

As an Event Technology Manager, you will be the technology lead for managing and delivering digital and on-site event solutions, specializing in platforms like Cvent. Your responsibilities will span from developing registration websites and mobile apps to managing databases, analytics, and vendor communications, ensuring seamless delivery and client satisfaction across both virtual and physical events.

This role is ideal for a proactive, technically adept professional with strong project management skills, an innovative mindset, and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure, deadline-oriented environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Technology Leadership: Lead all aspects of event technology operations including website/app builds, attendee registration, reporting, and analytics.

  • Project Execution: Manage the implementation and lifecycle of registration platforms, mainly Cvent, while ensuring high-quality delivery and accuracy.

  • Database & Reporting: Maintain consistency in data management, generate participant lists, and handle all analytics and post-event reports.

  • Client Communication: Maintain daily communication with clients via phone, email, or in-person; ensure timely responses to queries, even during work travel.

  • Vendor Management: Coordinate with external technology and badging vendors; review invoices, manage equipment and collateral for events.

  • Mobile Integration: Oversee mobile app planning and usage; support app development and deployment as needed.

  • Survey & Feedback: Create and distribute post-event surveys and generate actionable insights based on feedback.

  • Training & Innovation: Stay updated on new technologies and trends; train internal teams on tools and integration processes.

  • Travel: Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally to support event execution and on-site troubleshooting.

  • Support Functions: Assist in ad-hoc projects, provide technical insight to Project Managers, and promote brand integrity through exemplary conduct.


Candidate Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or equivalent practical experience

  • Deep experience in registration tools like Cvent, Eventbrite, Aventri, Splash, Certain

  • Familiarity with virtual event platforms (Zoom, WebEx, SpotMe, Intrado, TalkPoint, etc.)

  • Knowledge of CRM integrations (Salesforce, Marketo, DealCloud) with event tools

  • Skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for front-end configuration/customization

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • Excellent communication, multitasking, time management, and problem-solving skills

  • Adaptability to work irregular hours including evenings and weekends when necessary

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently with minimal supervision
