Description:
IQVIA is seeking a highly experienced Evidence Synthesis Senior Consultant to join their growing Real World Solutions (RWS) practice. This role involves technical leadership in evidence synthesis, with a focus on complex research tasks such as feasibility assessments, treatment comparisons, population-adjustment methods (MAIC, STC, ML-NMR), and survival analysis. You will play a key role in managing evidence synthesis projects, providing senior technical leadership, and enhancing existing capabilities.
As a senior member of the Centre of Excellence (CoE), you will support the development of new methodologies and contribute to business opportunities. You will also mentor and train junior team members while maintaining strong client relationships to add value in a rapidly evolving healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead multiple evidence synthesis projects, including developing statistical analysis protocols (SAP) and conducting indirect treatment comparisons, meta-analysis, and network meta-analysis.
Provide senior technical and statistical leadership and support for complex evidence synthesis tasks.
Edit, review, and develop scripts using statistical tools such as WinBUGS, OpenBUGS, JAGS, and R, with knowledge of Stan being desirable.
Offer technical guidance and quality control for key deliverables, such as protocols, analysis plans, reports, and manuscripts.
Contribute to business development by conceptualizing evidence synthesis engagements and building client relationships.
Drive the development of innovative methods and research, contributing to IQVIA's profile in evidence synthesis and publishing research outputs.
Mentor and coach junior team members, serving as a line manager for staff.
Qualifications and Experience:
Master’s degree in medical statistics, biostatistics, mathematics, epidemiology, public health, health economics, or a related discipline. A PhD is desirable.
At least 5 years of experience as a statistician in consultancy, CRO, pharmaceutical/biotech, or academia.
Strong programming skills in R and proficiency with Stan, WinBUGS, OpenBUGS, and JAGS.
Experience with Bayesian statistics, generalized linear models, direct and indirect treatment comparisons, and population-adjustment methods.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to handle client challenges.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Experience in coaching and training is a plus.
Familiarity with related HEOR domains (e.g., systematic literature reviews, health economic modeling).
Strong attention to detail and good project management skills.
