Exam Invigilator

Description:

Canons High School, a vibrant multicultural community in Edgware, NW London, seeks Exam Invigilators to support its examination process. Reporting to the Exams Officer, you will ensure that exams are conducted in a fair and secure manner. Responsibilities include setting up exam venues, distributing and collecting exam materials, supervising candidates, and reporting incidents or irregularities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare exam venues in accordance with school and exam board standards.
• Distribute and collect exam materials efficiently.
• Supervise candidates, ensuring they adhere to exam regulations.
• Maintain a calm and focused environment during exams.
• Report any irregularities or incidents promptly.

Candidate Requirements:
An ideal candidate will:

• Be reliable, flexible, and available during main exam periods.
• Possess effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Work well as part of a team.
• Provide a confident and reassuring presence to candidates in exam rooms.
• Be capable of managing various situations and giving clear instructions.

Important Dates:

• Interviews: Week commencing 3rd February 2025
• Initial Training: Wednesday, 12th February 2025
• Exam Periods: 24th February - 7th March 2025 (Spring Internal Exams), April/May/June 2025 (Summer External Exams)
