Experienced Machinist

Description:

iNetic, a growing leader in engineering excellence, is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Machinist to join its workshop team in Andover. This role is initially offered as a temporary 6-month contract to support increased operational demand, with strong potential to transition into a permanent position.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' hands-on experience working as a machinist, with strong competencies in both manual and CNC machining, including lathes, milling, and grinding operations. A deep understanding of technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints is essential, along with solid knowledge of metal properties and material behaviours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and program both automatic (CNC) and manual machines to produce high-precision components.

• Interpret and work accurately from technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.

• Ensure all outputs meet strict quality and technical specifications.

• Contribute to a collaborative workshop environment, maintaining safety standards at all times.

• Verify components and processes to support quality assurance and compliance.

Candidate Requirements:

• At least 5 years of proven experience in machining.

• Skilled in CNC programming and manual machine operations.

• Ability to interpret and apply technical engineering drawings.

• In-depth knowledge of metal properties and other materials.

• Strong commitment to health, safety, and quality protocols.

• Ability to work well within a team-oriented workshop environment.
