Description:
MacGregor Black is partnering with a Premium Branded Alcoholic Drinks Manufacturer to find an experienced Export Manager for their operations in Asia and the Middle East. This permanent role based in London involves overseeing international sales and distribution strategies across these key regions, with a focus on developing long-term relationships and driving sales growth while ensuring brand integrity.
As an Export Manager, you will manage the Asia and Middle East Sales team, drive new business development, and implement sales strategies to expand distribution channels, grow the brand, and maximize performance. You will work closely with the Group Sales Director, leading key negotiations and business initiatives, and collaborating with Marketing and distributors to execute brand strategies in international markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute long-term sales and distribution strategies with the Group Sales Director
Set and achieve volume targets for Asia and the Middle East, creating KPIs for markets, distributors, and product formats
Lead the Asia and Middle East sales teams across On-Trade, Off-Trade, and B2B channels
Collaborate with stakeholders and distributors to meet On and Off-Trade listing targets
Evaluate new business opportunities and optimize resource allocation
Work with Marketing and distributors to execute brand plans in international markets
Manage the sales budget for Asia and the Middle East and ensure expenditure controls
Provide commercial insights to contribute to overall company strategy and monitor competitor activities
Review sales performance monthly and quarterly with the Finance team
Key Requirements:
Proven sales management experience within Asia and the Middle East
Track record in developing and executing international distribution strategies
Experience in sales execution and new business development within the premium alcoholic beverage industry
Strong financial acumen and experience with cost analysis
Skilled communicator with excellent negotiation and public speaking abilities
Fluency in English (additional language skills such as Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese, and/or Arabic preferred)
Experience leading and developing remotely based teams
Strong network of international trade connections in relevant regions
