External Sales Representative

Description:

Nter Talent is recruiting for a Remote External Sales Representative on behalf of a leading UK-based independent electrical distributor renowned for its deep technical knowledge, customer-centric approach, and strong ties with top manufacturers in the automation and electrical space.

In this field-based role, you will be responsible for developing and managing strong client relationships throughout a defined geographic area. You will work remotely while actively covering multiple postcode regions (SN, RG, SL, UB, HA, TW, EN, N, NW, W), requiring regular travel and occasional overnight stays based on client needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage long-term client relationships through regular face-to-face meetings

• Serve existing accounts and deliver exceptional service to maintain loyalty

• Drive new business development and expand customer base in the assigned region

• Offer bespoke automation solutions from a wide-ranging, trusted product catalog

• Execute regional sales strategies, upsell, and cross-sell effectively

• Collaborate closely with internal sales teams to streamline customer service

• Maintain accurate sales reports and pipeline updates for management

• Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activity, and market demands

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

• Self-driven with excellent time and territory management

• Capable of understanding and presenting complex technical product information

• Analytical mindset to assess market trends and customer data

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms

Additional Notes:

• Regular travel within designated postcode areas is required

• Overnight stays may occasionally be necessary depending on customer demands
