Description:
As a Façade Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, engineering, and documentation of façade systems, ensuring technical excellence and quality in all project deliverables.
Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Design & Specialist Input:
- Undertake façade structural design and analysis using relevant codes and standards, engineering formulas, skills, and experience.
- Utilise computer-assisted engineering and design software for simulations and preparing engineering design documents.
- Address and resolve technical challenges, providing specialist input to ensure project quality.
- Project Management:
- Liaise with Team Leaders or Project Leaders on technical aspects of projects.
- Coordination & Collaboration:
- Work closely with architects and other designers to ensure safe designs that align with project aesthetics and concepts.
- Coordinate with different consultants to integrate engineering systems optimally.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Prepare detailed design reports at concept and sketch design stages. A high level of proficiency in spoken and written English is required.
- Assist in project implementation, including site and factory inspections, quality audits, and report preparation.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure the accuracy and quality of your own work and the work of others.
- Author non-standard letters, reports, and other documentation as required.
- Client & Team Representation:
- Represent the team and discipline at external meetings, demonstrating professional expertise.
- Handle routine contract administration efficiently.
