Haris Law Solicitors, an award-winning, Lexcel and Resolution-accredited law firm based in Blackburn, is seeking a highly skilled and empathetic Family Law Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join its dynamic and inclusive legal team. You will play a vital role in the firm’s expanding family law department, handling a varied caseload that includes complex, sensitive, and emotionally charged matters. Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently manage a full range of family law matters, including:

    • Divorce proceedings

    • Financial remedy cases

    • Child custody and arrangement disputes

    • Domestic abuse and protection orders

  • Deliver compassionate and accurate legal counsel in complex personal scenarios.

  • Represent clients in court advocacy (training and support provided for development).

  • Contribute to the firm's business development efforts through networking and client engagement.

  • Stay updated on family law and legal practice developments and adapt to procedural changes.

  • Collaborate with external parties such as courts, social workers, barristers, and legal aid bodies.

Candidate Requirements:

  • A valid practising certificate as a Solicitor or CILEX-qualified Legal Executive.

  • Substantial experience handling private and ideally publicly funded family law cases.

  • High level of emotional intelligence and communication skills for working with vulnerable clients.

  • Ability to manage priorities and deadlines while working independently with minimal supervision.

  • Enthusiasm for ongoing professional development, including potential Resolution or Family Law Panel accreditations.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and practice management software.
