Description:
This is an exciting opportunity to join our friendly team of Family Learning Facilitators at the British Museum and to help us provide a first-class visitor experience to families and encourage family-led exploration of the Museum’s collection.
As a Family Learning Facilitator, you will play a key role in welcoming and supporting families to the Museum at our Families Desk in the Great Court. You’ll provide information, advice and guidance on the wide range of family friendly activities and events on offer and have opportunities to support wider Learning and National Partnership events including creative workshops, performances and local and national festivals and celebrations.
We’re looking for candidates with a passion for and demonstrable experience of working with families and children, who are considerate and who can communicate effectively and confidently with the Museum’s diverse visitors and respond to families’ needs. You’ll be comfortable working in a busy, customer facing environment, signposting visitors, and directly engaging and supporting families with the Museum’s collection.
The role operates on a casual zero-hour basis, and includes weekend, school holiday and bank holiday working hours. Post holders must pass the required level of DBS clearance checks.
