Family Supervising Solicitor

Description:

We are seeking Family Supervising Solicitors who are Children Panel or Family Panel Accredited to join our expanding team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage and grow your own team of fee earners while handling your own caseload. This position allows you to work in the challenging and rewarding field of childcare law.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise a team of Solicitors, Paralegals, and Legal Assistants.

• Manage your own caseload effectively.

• Monitor and develop your team’s professional knowledge and competence, identifying training needs.

• Represent clients in court, undertaking advocacy.

• Instruct counsel, agents, and experts as necessary.

• Ensure all court orders are read and actioned.

• Provide clear and comprehensive legal advice to clients and ensure their cases are progressed to conclusion.

Requirements:

• Qualified lawyer (Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive).

• Member of the Law Society’s Children Law or Family Law Accreditation Scheme.

• Proven management/leadership experience.

• Experience managing your own caseload within Public Children Matters.

• Ability to work independently with a clear and accurate approach to casework.

• Self-motivated and committed to personal growth and development.
