We're looking for Field Engineers to work on our NextGen connectivity platform. This is an outstanding opportunity to help build an ambitious future for our flagship product.
What You'll Do
- The role will involve deploying Quvia proprietary software for new deployments across Maritime BU, support vendor integrations, drydocks, support PoCs, and troubleshooting various issues faced during these activities by engaging with internal Quvia teams, 3rd party vendors, and customers ensuring projects are delivered on time and in accordance with defined technical standards.
- The role will require global travel to perform installations and system deployments on board ships, often during drydock or at various international ports, ensuring all equipment and software are integrated and operational. It’s essential that the applicant holds a valid UK passport to be able to freely travel to Europe to visit key customers.
- Being a team player, work on deployments, service POC, and change activities including Pre-configure hardware.
- Available on call as needed to support customer escalations or other major operational events, ensuring delivery of products and services in line with applicable SLAs.
- Writing and maintaining detailed documentation.
- Responsible for accurately documenting and tracking hardware throughout the logistics management process, ensuring seamless inventory control and operational efficiency.

- Responsible for supporting general office management tasks, including admin duties, facility coordination, and ad hoc responsibilities to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
What You'll Need
Essential
- A valid UK passport
- Ability and willingness to travel internationally on short notice to perform on-board system installations and maintenance, often in maritime environments.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline
- 1-2 years experience in the areas defined below.
- Hands-on exposure to essential network protocols including LAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT/PAT, IPsec, and BGP routing
- Experience in either implementation, configuration or troubleshooting in service provider or enterprise network
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills
- Strong troubleshooting skills and documentation capabilities
- Ability to resolve technical issues by making decisions using sound business judgement
- Solid understanding of the functional and operational practices necessary to operate in a highly available, highly secure, and highly regulated environment to meet business and compliance requirements
- Foster and maintain working relationships with customers to ensure processes are optimised to support expected customer service levels.
