Description:

Airbus Defence and Space is seeking an Export Control Officer to provide operational expertise, regulatory guidance, and compliance support for export-controlled activities across the fast-growing space systems sector.

In this hybrid role based in Portsmouth, you will act as a trusted advisor on national and international export control regulations, ensuring compliance while supporting innovation in cutting-edge space programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary advisor for operational export control guidance, including national and international regulations and sanctions.

• Develop, maintain, and improve export control policies, processes, and procedures.

• Deliver training and awareness sessions to cross-functional teams across the organisation.

• Maintain accurate, real-time export control records and documentation.

• Ensure compliance with evolving regulatory frameworks and support internal/external audits.

• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams across air, land, and space business lines.

• Support the broader Export Control function across multiple UK sites.

Qualifications:

• Expertise in national and international export control regulations and sanctions.

• Ability to communicate complex regulatory requirements clearly to non-experts.

• Strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Ability to take initiative and escalate issues appropriately when required.

• Eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC).
