Avro Football Club, a dynamic semi-professional football club, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance & Accounts Assistant to join the Finance, Accounts & Payroll department ahead of the exciting 2025/2026 season. This hybrid, voluntary role is ideal for a finance student looking to build hands-on experience in a real-world setting or an experienced finance professional eager to contribute their skills to the operations of a community-focused sports organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring transactions are processed promptly and accurately.
Prepare and send invoices to customers, with timely follow-up on outstanding payments.
Oversee credit control processes to ensure efficient cash flow.
Conduct regular bank reconciliations and review financial accounts to ensure accuracy.
Process volunteer and staff expense claims with precision and compliance.
Serve as the main point of contact for both internal team members and external stakeholders on financial matters.
