Avro Football Club, a dynamic semi-professional football club, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance & Accounts Assistant to join the Finance, Accounts & Payroll department ahead of the exciting 2025/2026 season. This hybrid, voluntary role is ideal for a finance student looking to build hands-on experience in a real-world setting or an experienced finance professional eager to contribute their skills to the operations of a community-focused sports organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring transactions are processed promptly and accurately.

  • Prepare and send invoices to customers, with timely follow-up on outstanding payments.

  • Oversee credit control processes to ensure efficient cash flow.

  • Conduct regular bank reconciliations and review financial accounts to ensure accuracy.

  • Process volunteer and staff expense claims with precision and compliance.

  • Serve as the main point of contact for both internal team members and external stakeholders on financial matters.
