This is a newly created commercial finance role, acting as the key interface between the Cruise commercial trading team and finance. The role will manage will provide financial oversight and challenge to the team in the areas of revenue and variable cost areas of the Cruise P&L and will be responsible for providing the trading team with the analysis necessary to make decisions on pricing strategies, from launch through to operation to maximise the financial results of the business

The role holder needs to be comfortable dealing with the detail of trading to ensure accuracy and transparency in our numbers, but also be able to understand and articulate financial results at a higher level.

ABOUT THE JOB
Month End & Forecasting: Management of Cruise Revenue & Variable costs areas of cruise, including month end, variance analysis & commentary, forecasting, cashflow & balance sheet management. Strategic Planning: Support the Finance Business Partner in development of the 3YP including support and analysis on long term passenger assumptions & revenue progression planning. Supporting strategic and operational business cases where necessary. Analysis: Lead the production and analysis of the weekly trading report including process improvement to both MI and excel reports. Performance analysis on product mix and distribution mix, as well as trend analysis on booking patterns to aid strategic decision making. This role will be the financial lead in building reports in Business Objects (BOXI) and liaising with central MI team to drive improvements Margins: Ownership of Cruise Margins within MI, this role will be the expert in how we report on margins within Cruise. This includes agreeing and loading costs & targets, ongoing integrity checks to maintain accuracy, as well as variance analysis when difference occur vs actuals. Pricing: Support the trading team to make accurate pricing decisions on the launch of new seasons. This will include liaising with the cost base team to provide accurate information and the preparation of presentation to senior management for sign off. Business Partnering: This role will be the main point of contact and trusted advisor to the cruise trading team, providing insight & analysis for key decision making. The role will also work closely with Tour Ops, Airline & Distribution finance teams to drive understanding, accuracy and transparency of variable cost lines.
