Finance Applications System Administrator

 

Description:

Careerwise is seeking a Finance Applications System Administrator to support a leading organization based in Woking, UK. This is a 3–6 month contract role with a competitive daily rate of up to £400/day (outside IR35) and a potential contract-to-hire pathway with a permanent salary of up to £50000 per annum.

This hybrid role offers a fantastic opportunity for an experienced IT applications support professional with expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) and familiarity with IBM Planning Analytics. You'll play a key role in maintaining system integrity, supporting end users, and driving cross-functional communication.


Key Responsibilities:

  • System Support & Maintenance:
    Provide day-to-day support and maintenance for Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O and IBM Cloud Planning Analytics platforms.

  • Access & Security Management:
    Manage user access, roles, and security configurations to align with compliance standards.

  • Environment Operations:
    Operate and maintain Lifecycle Services (LCS) and Azure environments to ensure system performance and availability.

  • Issue Resolution & Documentation:
    Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within defined SLA/KPI targets; maintain detailed documentation of incidents and resolutions.

  • Performance Monitoring:
    Use Azure Monitor to track batch jobs, integrations, and system performance metrics.

  • System Upgrades & Data Management:
    Support data workflows, system interfaces, upgrades, and change control processes.

  • Training & Knowledge Sharing:
    Lead user training sessions and contribute to team documentation and process enhancement efforts.


Candidate Profile:

  • Experience:
    2–4 years of professional experience in IT applications support, particularly within finance systems and ERP environments.

  • Technical Skills:
    Strong knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O, ERP/finance systems, and system integrations.

  • Tools & Platforms:
    Familiarity with ITSM tools like ServiceNow, HaloITSM, or Zendesk is essential.

  • Soft Skills:
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills; capable of liaising across technical and non-technical departments.

  • Desirable Skills:
    Exposure to IBM Planning Analytics, Azure Logic Apps, Power Platform, and system integrations is a plus—or a willingness to quickly upskill.
