A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FINANCE ASSISTANT AT THE MUNICIPAL HOTEL MGALLERY

What you'll be doing...

Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will be working within a close knit team and can expect your working day to include the following duties;

• Mainly completing Purchase Ledger processes and assisting with Sales Ledger processes on an ad hoc basis.
• Processing invoices on Procure Wizard, matching delivery notes to orders and managing Procure Wizard
• Ensuring audit standards are adhered to inclusive of the preparation of year end audit files, and liaising with auditors.
• Completing monthly payment run
• Setting up new suppliers and sourcing best prices
• Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, ensuring variances and areas of risk are identified and actioned appropriately.
• To support the Director of Finance with any other departmental responsibilities.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

To succeed in the role of Finance Assistant, you will need the following qualities and skills.

• Ideally you would be working as an Accounts Assistant with experience in Hospitality.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to work within deadlines and manage own workload.
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills.
