Cobalt Recruitment is representing a prestigious real estate investor and developer with over £800 million worth of assets across commercial and residential property developments. The company is seeking an experienced, analytical, and proactive Finance Manager to oversee and enhance the financial operations of their growing property portfolio.

This position is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, investment-oriented environment and possesses a solid understanding of property finance, reporting, and compliance. You will be instrumental in managing end-to-end financial activities, improving performance, and supporting strategic investment decisions.

As the Finance Manager, you will work closely with senior management and the Group Finance Team to ensure financial integrity, maximize returns, and deliver data-driven insights to support growth and asset performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Operations Management

• Manage all aspects of property finance operations, including rent collection, payment processing, and cash flow forecasting.

• Oversee credit control to ensure optimal liquidity for operational and capital expenditures.

• Monitor and control CAPEX and OPEX budgets, driving cost efficiency and performance optimization.

Financial Reporting & Compliance

• Manage the month-end closing process, ensuring timely preparation of accurate financial statements.

• Oversee statutory accounts, tax compliance (including VAT returns), and audit coordination.

• Maintain adherence to UK GAAP accounting standards and internal control policies.

Investment Analysis & Support

• Support investment transactions, performing due diligence and preparing detailed financial models (DCF, IRR, NPV).

• Deliver insightful management reports and investor presentations that provide analysis and actionable insights.

• Conduct market research and benchmarking to guide investment strategies and portfolio improvements.

Strategic Collaboration

• Partner with senior stakeholders and the Group Finance Team to influence financial strategy.

• Drive continuous improvements in financial systems, processes, and reporting accuracy.

• Contribute to the strategic growth of the company through strong financial stewardship.

Requirements:

• Strong academic background with a degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Mathematics.

• Part-qualified or working towards ACCA or CIMA certification preferred.

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a finance-related role within real estate, investment management, or private equity.

• Exceptional analytical and Excel skills, including financial modelling and scenario analysis.

• Solid understanding of UK accounting principles, reporting, and tax compliance.

• Experience using financial software such as Xero, Re-leased, or MRI is advantageous.

• Highly proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
