Description:
This role has a broad remit and would suit someone with a Financial audit or Finance background who is looking to develop more of a risk focused career or would like to deepen their knowledge in this area.
You’ll partner with colleagues across the UK and US businesses to ensure UK Finance risk and compliance activities are completed to a high standard. You will ensure relevant team members across the department are engaged in all risk management activities, become a department expert in our core risk management processes & systems and support the implementation of new risk management projects as they arise.
What you’ll do
- Work with, and support, the Head of UK FRM to deliver all risk and compliance activities required across the UK Finance department
- Proactively identify and understand strategic and emerging risks and act as a change agent
- Lead risk management activities such as business continuity plans and process level assessments
- Facilitate the UK Finance risk management governance forum and support senior management in understanding key risks and issues
- Build strong relationships with the UK Finance department in order to be the go to person for risk management advice
- Effectively coordinate department responses to business wide regulatory or enterprise requests
- Be a UK Finance point of contact on events and issues and manage reporting to process owners and senior management
- Work closely with owners and performers of our critical processes and other processes to understand the risks, recommend control improvements, regulatory requirements and support their ongoing management
- Be part of the wider enterprise FRM team which includes being a UK point of contact, sharing best practice and ensuring enterprise alignment on key risk activities
