Description:
🌟 The Role: Sitting at the heart of the finance team, you’ll play a key role in managing group financial reporting, statutory accounts, and supporting operational and strategic initiatives as the group expands.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing monthly and annual consolidated financial statements for the group
- Managing group balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany eliminations, and inventory/COGS accounting
- Producing statutory accounts under UK GAAP and IFRS and leading the external audit process
- Ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory obligations
- Supporting business decision-making with financial insight and analysis, including investment appraisals
- Assisting with finance projects such as system upgrades, process improvements, and financial modelling for new stores, partnerships, or acquisitions
👌 What We’re Looking For:
- ACA-qualified
- Solid understanding of group accounting, inventory, and COGS
- Proactive and adaptable, with strong analytical and communication skills
- Able to build relationships and influence across finance and non-finance teams
- Ideally some exposure to FMCG, food production, or retail (or a quick learner in these sectors)
- Advanced Excel skills and comfortable working with accounting/ERP systems
