In a pragmatic environment that we are we need you to come up with analyses that are balancing the needs of today with a vision for tomorrow. As our Analyst you are part of a small, collaborative team sat in Stolt-Nielsen’s London HQ focused and you will be responsible for the ongoing coordination, management and improvement of SNL consolidation and financial reporting process.
Key Responsibilities
- Review capex submittals and reports for appropriateness, completeness, and consistency.
- Review cash flow submittals and reports for appropriateness, completeness and consistency and prepare or support the preparation of consolidated cash flow reports.
- Initial review of flash (numbers) including checking against submittals and budget and prior year.
- Develop footnote data and supporting documentation with required analysis for the SNL annual report to shareholders and interim financial statements.
- Assisting with the loading of entities into Oracle PBC for planning and budgeting.
- Loading of journal entries into Oracle FCC.
- Various Oracle eBS, FCC, PowerBI and PBC tasks.
- IFRS checklists on quarterly basis.
- Review and assist with auditor requests on UK Statutory Reports.
- Review and update documentation for processes undertaken or overseen by the Corporate Reporting team. Checking Oracle eBS against Oracle FCC.
Qualifications
- Degree level; or strong A levels and degree equivalent accounting qualification (e.g., AAT).
- Qualified with a recognized accounting body; or part way through ACCA, CIMA or equivalent accounting qualification.
- 2 to 5 years of audit firm or industry experience, using IFRS in Groups.
- Knowledge in ERP / GL systems, preferably Oracle eBS.
- Experience in the financial reporting process and the maintenance of consolidation systems, preferably FCC.
- Intermediate or advanced Excel skills and proficient in Word and Powerpoint.
