LT Harper – Cyber Security Recruitment is seeking a Business Development Manager with strong experience in selling cybersecurity services within a Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP) or Managed Detection and Response (MDR) environment. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing cybersecurity company with a strong technical and consulting foundation, offering pre- and post-sales support to a wide range of clients across the UK.
The ideal candidate will be a motivated, results-driven professional with a proven track record of generating new business, exceeding sales targets, and building long-term client relationships in the cybersecurity space. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, developing, and closing new sales opportunities across the SME and enterprise market segments.
Generate new business by identifying, engaging, and securing clients seeking cybersecurity services such as MDR, SOC, or managed security solutions.
Work closely with technical and consulting teams to deliver end-to-end security solutions that align with client needs.
Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, consistently achieving and exceeding individual sales targets.
Conduct in-depth gap analyses to identify client vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate cybersecurity solutions.
Develop and nurture long-term relationships with key decision-makers, including C-level executives and business owners.
Collaborate with internal teams to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
Negotiate contracts and pricing terms while maintaining profitability and client satisfaction.
Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats, technologies, and compliance requirements.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
Travel occasionally to other practice offices or client sites as required.
Proven and demonstrable sales track record within the cybersecurity, MSSP, or IT services sector.
Experience in 360° business development, from lead generation to deal closure.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, including network security, data protection, and risk management.
Experience in selling to the SME market segment and engaging senior-level stakeholders.
Excellent negotiation, influencing, and relationship management skills.
Ability to develop tailored proposals and articulate complex technical solutions clearly to non-technical audiences.
Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding revenue targets within a business development capacity.
A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Flexibility to travel when required for client engagements or internal meetings.
Base Salary: £50,000 – £65,000 per year (approx. £4,166 – £5,416 monthly)
On-Target Earnings: Up to 2x base salary + uncapped commissions
Hybrid Work Model: Flexibility to work remotely and on-site
