This high-impact role blends commercial business partnering, strategic planning, and ownership of the Group FP&A agenda. Working closely with the CFO and Executive Team, you will provide insight, drive performance, and help build the finance capability needed to support ambitious growth.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Finance Leadership
- Act as a strategic partner to Sales, Marketing, and Operations, delivering actionable insights on pricing, margin optimisation, customer performance, and growth opportunities.
- Use your Financial Controller grounding to strengthen commercial decision-making, financial governance, and overall financial discipline.
FP&A & Strategic Planning
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes across multi-entity operations.
- Align financial planning with commercial and operational priorities, integrating S&OP where required.
Insight, Reporting & Performance
- Deliver clear, data-driven analysis across business units, products, and markets to highlight risks, opportunities, and value creation levers.
- Enhance dashboards, reporting capability, and financial visibility to improve speed and quality of decision-making.
Team Development & Leadership
- Build, shape, and lead a high-performing Commercial Finance & FP&A team from the ground up.
- Establish scalable processes, reporting structures, and finance routines fit for a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Work closely with senior leaders to challenge strategy, support investment decisions, and influence business performance.
- Prepare high-quality financial materials for the Executive Team and Board.
- Engage with private equity investors where relevant (prior PE experience is beneficial but not essential).
What We’re Looking For
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong post-qualification experience.
- Background as a Financial Controller or senior finance professional with substantial commercial finance and FP&A responsibility.
- Comfortable working hands-on, building processes, and driving delivery while also stepping up strategically.
- Experience in fast-paced, high-growth, or scaling environments.
- Strong analytical skills with confidence using BI tools (e.g., Power BI) and building dynamic financial models.
- Experience managing multi-entity or multi-currency structures is useful but not essential.
- Proven ability to build, mentor, and develop teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at senior levels.
- Private equity experience is a bonus but not a requirement.
- Commercially minded, proactive, and committed to driving value, profitability, and performance.
