Description:
Harmonic Finance is exclusively recruiting for a newly created FP&A Manager role for a global retail & design scaleup. This is a strategic position reporting to the CFO, designed to strengthen financial planning, maximise profitability, and lead long-term strategic planning including 3- and 5-year growth models. The role also involves automation/AI initiatives to create a best-in-class FP&A function. The company has achieved 25% year-on-year growth with turnover exceeding £70m, balancing sustainable and ethical products with design services across UK, Europe, and the US.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the FP&A function, working closely with the CFO and Finance Controller
Take full ownership of finance modelling, including multi-entity and multi-currency growth and scenario planning
Drive profitability and margin improvement via strategic analysis and cost-saving initiatives
Optimise procurement, supply chain, and third-party warehouse operations to reduce costs and improve efficiency
Implement process improvements for streamlined workflows and faster revenue recognition
Build and maintain real-time financial and operational dashboards on NetSuite
Deliver 3–5 year strategic plans and forecasts aligned with business goals
Partner with Finance Managers in the UK, Europe, and US for robust international reporting
Collaborate with heads of operations, procurement, and logistics to link financial targets with operational delivery
Present quarterly forecasts and recommendations to the board and business unit heads
Lead ad-hoc strategic projects, including vendor and legal due diligence, and sales processes
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
Proven experience managing financial models end-to-end
Skilled in dashboard creation and optimization, ideally in NetSuite
Background in retail, supply chain, or product-led industries
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Prior experience overseeing full P&L
Desirable Skills (Non-essential):
Experience overseeing payroll processes and compliance
Interest in sustainability and its impact on business
Experience in retail, design, or consumer industries
Stock management/accounting experience
