Description:
As a Financial Strategy Manage your main responsibilities would be:
- Manage a Medium-Term Financial Plan for the Agency, underpinned by a robust understanding of key cost drivers and aligned to the strategic direction of the organisation.
- Working with the Finance Business Partnering team, support the development and implementation of credible financial plans at Directorate level.
- Working with Finance Business Partnering team to support monthly end and year-end duties.
- Undertake scenario modelling on the medium-term financial plans to support business decisions.
- Support the Head of Financial Strategy and Planning on Spending Reviews and other fiscal events and negotiations with DfT/HMT.
- Oversee the delivery of a programme of efficiencies and savings across the Agency.
- Develop analyses on financial impact, performance and risk to support advisory reporting.
- Develop a good understanding of the business and its drivers.
- Oversee the Fees and Charges strategy for the MCA and which meets the requirements of Managing Public Money.
- Build and maintain key relationships with stakeholders, in particular with DfT strategy finance team members.
- Support business case development, ensuring a strong commercial focus.
- Lead and direct the Savings and Efficiencies Lead.
- Provide intelligent analysis of complex financial information.
- Support the delivery of a finance improvement programme across the Directorate.
- Provide specialist financial advice including advising the Agency on how to work within the parameters of HMT control totals and Cabinet Office spending controls.
- Identify, record, develop mitigation for strategic finance risks.
