Due to continued growth and an exclusive recruitment agreement, the consultancy is now seeking to appoint a Fire Engineer / Senior Fire Engineer into a remote-hybrid role based in the North East of England or any location in the UK. The successful candidate will work closely with the Director, who brings over 18 years of industry experience and remains hands-on with both technical delivery and client engagement.

This opportunity would suit either an experienced Senior Fire Engineer, or a Fire Engineer seeking a clear stepping stone into a senior role, with structured mentoring, increased responsibility, and a defined progression pathway.

• International projects, including developments in Dubai and Saudi Arabia

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver fire engineering solutions across residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use developments
• Prepare fire strategies, technical reports, and design justifications
• Undertake performance-based fire engineering assessments
• Liaise with clients, architects, approving authorities, and project stakeholders
• Support planning submissions and regulatory approvals
• Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and oversight of projects

Fire Engineer Profile

Essential

• Degree in Fire Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• Experience within a fire engineering consultancy or a comparable technical role
• Strong understanding of fire safety principles and performance-based design
• Ability to manage projects independently within a remote-hybrid working model

Desirable

• Chartered status or working towards professional accreditation
• Experience with fire modelling tools such as CFD or evacuation modelling
• Experience engaging with approving authorities
• Mentoring or leadership experience, or readiness to step into this responsibility
