The Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) Jersey are seeking a Strategic Intelligence Analyst to join their team as they continue to develop their capabilities and growth to be a world leading FIU.
The FIU is the national intelligence agency and competent authority responsible for: the receipt, analysis and dissemination of intelligence developed from the submission of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and other reporting aligned with anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) reporting obligations and is central to all aspects of countering these threats to the island and internationally.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and undertaking strategic intelligence analysis and the subsequent reporting, to identify a range of financial crime, money laundering and terrorist financing typologies, trends and patterns. This resulting intelligence product is aimed at both determining threats and vulnerabilities and informing relevant parties of risks and gaps as part of the government of Jersey’s AML/CFT core Strategy and adhering to the FATF International Standards on AML/CFT.
This is a critical role and requires a proactive and engaging individual who is passionate about countering financial crime and has good experience and detailed understanding of intelligence approaches, technology and data.
