Description:
Omega, a nationally recognized provider of fleet management and vehicle leasing solutions, is currently seeking a Fleet Compliance Team Leader to join its operations team in Birmingham. This is a leadership position that requires a strong background in transport compliance and team management, offering the opportunity to play a pivotal role in maintaining high standards of regulatory adherence and operational efficiency.
As a Fleet Compliance Team Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring the department consistently achieves performance targets and KPIs. You will analyze performance data and provide coaching, guidance, and development opportunities to team members to improve knowledge and skills. Additionally, you will act as the subject matter expert in transport compliance, ensuring adherence to regulations such as O Licence, PMI, LBT, and Tachograph calibrations.
The role also includes conducting regular employee performance reviews, leading annual appraisals, and following up on development plans. You will contribute to a culture of accountability, compliance excellence, and customer service within the fleet operations function.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure departmental KPIs and performance targets are consistently achieved.
Use performance insights to coach and guide staff, enhancing knowledge and skills.
Act as a compliance expert, overseeing transport compliance processes and requirements.
Lead employee reviews, annual appraisals, and manage action plans.
Support customer care requirements and handle escalations effectively.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
Proven track record in team management, ideally within a large and diverse team setting.
Strong transport compliance background, with demonstrable knowledge of O Licence, PMI, LBT, Tachograph Calibrations.
Excellent customer care handling skills with a professional approach.
Strong IT skills: proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, internet, and email.
CPC qualification desirable, but not mandatory.
