CAE, a global leader in simulation training and operational support solutions, is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Flight Training Operations (FTO) Specialist-EN to join its team in Burgess Hill, England. This role is a unique opportunity to shape and lead the design of fully integrated flight training solutions for defense forces and para-military organizations worldwide.
As part of a senior team of aircrew training experts, the FTO Specialist will spearhead the definition of training programs from initial customer interactions to contract award. The position requires strong leadership, in-depth knowledge of training system integration (TSI), and the ability to develop innovative, cost-effective, and state-of-the-art training solutions, including individual, team, and collective training.
Lead the development and definition of fully integrated Flight Training Solutions from pre-RFP stages through capture, proposal, and contract award phases.
Serve as the main focal point and Design Authority for Flight Training Solutions with internal teams, customers, and end-user communities.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to design training programs utilizing CAE technologies, products, and subcontractor capabilities.
Define winning execution strategies, including make-buy analysis, partner selection, and compliance with in-country or offset requirements.
Conduct comprehensive solution reviews and deliver presentations to stakeholders.
Facilitate cost estimating, risk analysis, and develop Unique Selling Points aligned with customer requirements.
Monitor competitor advancements, innovative technologies, and emerging financial models.
Support strategy development through proposal creation, customer presentations, white papers, and participation in industry working groups.
Analyze global opportunities across land, sea, and air domains to identify potential synergies.
Minimum 10 years of relevant industry or military experience, with at least 8 years focused on training program development/delivery in defense.
Canadian Forces aircrew or other Western Airforce aircrew experience delivering flight simulation and military training systems is mandatory.
Working knowledge of Flight Safety, Airworthiness, Maintenance Repair Organization, or Flight Operations is an asset.
Strong communication, presentation, and proposal strategy skills.
University degree desirable; English mandatory, French highly desirable.
Must be able to obtain and retain Canadian and/or NATO Secret Security Clearances.
Availability to travel internationally up to 20% of the time.
