The Role
We are looking for:
- Experienced first-class bid/proposal writers to work on an ad hoc basis
- We need confident and focused writers to support in the journey of writing and securing winning bids
Responsibilities include:
- The successful applicant must be fully conversant with all aspects of ITT/PQQ and bid collation with a minimum of 12 months' experience and traceable work history.
- Understanding of DPS 1 system, the transition to DPS2, and the RFQ process
- Working to tight deadlines in order to have RFQs fully prepared ready for submission by the deadline
- Treat all data and personal information in the strictest confidence in line with GDPR policies
- Need to be flexible and adaptable to support various contracts on a short-term basis as and when required
Experience and Skills required for the Freelance bid writer - Must Have
- The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a high level of literacy and good communication skills
- Assisting in end-to-end management of Bids (i.e. Completion of Expressions of Interest, Selection Questionnaires, Tenders, and Presentations to strict deadlines
- Collating information and creating high quality, winning content for Bids
- Experience working to tight deadlines, often at short notice
- The ability to plan, organise and prioritise your workload and manage your own diary.
- Excellent creative writing skills, understanding of keywords used within the employability sector
- Ability to work independently with no direct supervision
Essential criteria
- Demonstratable track record of writing tenders
- Deep understanding of the approach required to develop solutions that meet the requirements of bid/tender documents
- Previous experience of working with government frameworks including DPS1 understanding, with some familiarity around the new DPS2 requirements
- Proven ability to work under pressure to plan and deliver compliant, professionally produced tendering support within client-defined timeframes
