RedTech Recruitment is offering an excellent opportunity for a Mid to Senior Front-End Software Developer to join a cutting-edge software company based in Cambridge. The company has developed a sophisticated web application that supports research and development teams with machine learning and data insights to make faster and better decisions.

As a Front-End Software Developer, you will work closely with engineers, product managers, and machine learning specialists to enhance the user-facing part of the platform. Your key focus will be on building and improving interactive React components, optimizing performance, and ensuring a seamless user experience, particularly when handling complex data-heavy workflows and state management.

The platform uses modern web technologies such as React and TypeScript, connecting to backend systems that support advanced data processing and analysis. You will be instrumental in delivering a user-friendly interface that allows users to engage efficiently with complex datasets and machine learning features.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and improve interactive front-end components using React and TypeScript

• Ensure smooth performance and a great user experience in data-heavy, complex workflows

• Collaborate with product and machine learning teams to evolve the platform

• Write tests for front-end features using Jest or similar frameworks

• Use terminal-based tools such as NPM, NVM, or Docker as part of the development workflow

• Maintain code quality and participate in team discussions to foster a great working culture
