Frontend Developer

Description:

PeakTew is a social media app aimed at connecting more people with the real world. We are a passionate and diverse team from over a dozen countries, and we are looking for a Frontend Developer to contribute to the development of our app as part of a startup project. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain international work experience and learn more about the professional world by committing some time each week to the project. The position is remote and unpaid, but offers valuable mentorship and future opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to at least one of the two components: Front-end development or Software architecture

• Write efficient code for UI development and frontend-backend integration

• Collaborate with the team on GitHub

• Participate in weekly team meetings to debrief your work

• Ensure system stability, scalability, security, and performance optimization through collaboration with multiple teams

Requirements:

• Proficient in Flutter programming language

• Ability to create visually appealing UI

• Experience in frontend-backend integration using APIs and frameworks

• Familiarity with web sockets is a plus

• Autonomous mindset with strong communication and teamwork skills

• Must be a Computer Science student or pursuing a similar academic path

• Comfortable working in English

• Access to a decent device and a reliable internet connection
