The NPEU Clinical Trials Unit (NPEU CTU) has an exciting opportunity for a Full-Stack Developer to work on clinical trials looking at the best way to care for premature babies. This technical post is central to developing and maintaining IT systems used in our portfolio of clinical trials; the information collected through our IT systems is absolutely key to what we do.

As a Full-Stack Developer you will work on all stages of the software development lifecycle of the NPEU CTU Trials Administration Database Application (TADA). You will be involved in assessing requirements, developing the specifics to meet the requirements, implementing testing and maintaining the application. You will join a small programming and development team and be expected to think proactively and exercise initiative.

The post is based in the Nuffield Department of Population Health (NDPH) which contains world-renowned population health research groups and provides an excellent environment for multi-disciplinary research and teaching. The NPEU is an internationally recognised, multi-disciplinary research unit based within the NDPH at the University of Oxford, Old Road Campus in Headington, Oxford. The unit undertakes research about pregnancy, childbirth and new-born babies.

To be considered for this role you will have a degree in a computing discipline, or a recognised equivalent computing qualification or equivalent experience, experience of web-based application development and secure data management and the ability to develop and complete projects, working both independently and as a member of a team. You will also have advanced proficiency in developing software on the Microsoft .NET platform, preferably using C# and ASP.NET MVC frameworks and Microsoft SQL Server.
