About the Team:

Today, processing billions of data points containing pricing information, search data, bookings, and more, using modern technologies. They are a growth-focused company, continuously expanding datasets, and unlocking new product directions.

Role Description:

Your work will translate into real-life applications impacting hundreds of thousands of customers worldwide. In our fast-growing scale-up environment, your responsibilities may vary, offering diverse experiences and ownership across different domains. Key areas of focus include:

• Researching and testing data processing methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
• Implementing streaming and batch data processing pipelines.
• Exploring SaaS and microservices architectures.
• Cleaning, analyzing, and extracting datasets from external sources.
• Ensuring data integrity and quality through enhanced logging, monitoring, and outlier detection.
• Deploying and monitoring applications in a reproducible and scalable manner.
• Experimenting, optimizing, and taking ownership of parts of our tech stack/infrastructure.
• Providing support to team members and other departments in our open and collaborative culture.

Technologies You'll Work With: (back-end focussed, a plus if you have javascript experience)

• Java, web frameworks (e.g., JSF, AngularJS), Google Cloud, SQL, Docker, UNIX.
• Opportunities to work with C, Kafka, Python, Elasticsearch, AWS Lambda.
• The toolset includes Gitlab, Gitlab-CI, JIRA, Sonarqube, Snyk, Grafana, Zabbix (ask us why these are the best fit for us).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a software engineering field.
• Proficiency in Java coding.
• Fluent in SQL.
• Affinity with big data.
