At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either working at your assigned local office, or travelling elsewhere based on business need. Available local office locations are Leeds, Middlesbrough, Bristol, Tunbridge Wells, and Bournemouth. What you'll be doing:

  • Working in an agile delivery team to deliver secure and quality solutions to customers
  • Ensuring continual shift of secure, quality and tested code activity left
  • Championing automation in the CICD DevOps cycle
  • Contributing to team ceremonies and planning sessions
  • Collaborating across development and testing reducing hand over times and focusing on and supporting the definition of done and the SDLC
  • Pairing or mobbing with the engineering team
  • Driving continual improvement, identifying areas of inefficiency and demonstrating or facilitating change
  • Supporting delivery objectives, life cycle management and technical debt

What you’ll bring:

 

  • Proven experience working in high performing engineering teams
  • Experience across the web application stack in Azure/.NET/Front end with React being desirable
  • Ability to build applications in cloud infrastructure and developing Infrastructure as Code
  • Proven experience of CICD pipelines and pipelines as code is desirable
  • Understanding of TDD and track record of implementing well tested high-quality code
  • Working experience maintaining code quality and standards
  • Understanding of Salesforce is desirable
  • Knowledge of current and emerging technologies and their potential to deliver business benefits
  • Proven experience delivering complex solutions to time and budget
