Description:
Aubay is looking for a talented and experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join our Global Energy client's team which is delivering software solutions and applications supporting trading and operations for their Power Trading Desk. The ideal candidate is someone who can work in a fast paced environment and able to solve complex business problems. It will involve developing tools and solutions within an Azure cloud platform utilising native Azure technologies and big Data tools. Working as part of a DevOps team, you will be a full stack developer responsible for designing, building, testing, releasing and supporting back end and front end applications as well as data handling tools end-to-end.
Required Skills and Experience
- 5+ years development experience in designing, developing and maintaining data integration & analytical service code to support quant models
- Has experience of containerisation and orchestration with Kubernetes or AKS
- Has experience of Cloud native technologies (Azure or AWS) and common storage solutions such as SQL and NoSQL (MongoDb, CosmosDb)
- Has built low latency solutions for data acquisition and experience of data streaming using Python
- Has created proprietary code libraries (with documentation) to be used by other developers
- Can design, develop and maintain APIs using best practice and adhering to security policies
- Has experience building data visualisations using web technologies such as React
- Modern software development platform experience including Azure DevOps and/or GitHub for source code repository, automated build, testing and deployment (pipelines/actions). CI/CD is expected to be fully automated
- Experienced with code quality & security tools such as SonarQube, WhiteSource
- Has both supported their own solutions post go-live and offloaded support to a third-party support organisation
- Knowledge and experience of full Software Development Lifecycle and working within a Scrum environment
Desirable Experience
- Experience of delivering DevOps, Infrastructure As Code (IaC)
- Experience of Spark/DataBricks
- Experience of PowerBI to create data visualisations
