Description:
PFAS, one of the UK’s leading providers of functional assessments, is seeking motivated and passionate healthcare professionals to join as Functional Assessors. This role involves conducting assessments for claimants applying for Personal Independence Payment (PIP) benefits as part of the DWP’s Health Assessment and Advisory Services (HAAS).
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct telephone, video, or face-to-face consultations with claimants to assess how their disability, condition, or illness affects daily activities.
Produce fair, accurate, and concise assessment reports.
Maintain professional standards and adhere to the relevant code of conduct.
Provide a positive experience for claimants while meeting quality and productivity targets.
Utilise broad clinical knowledge to analyse and interpret complex information.
Qualifications & Skills:
Essential:
Nurses: Qualified Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Member of Royal College of Nursing (RCN)
Physios/OTs: Chartered Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist, HCPC registration, Member of MCSP or COT
Paramedics: BSc or Qualified Paramedic, HCPC registration
Clinical experience of at least 1 year
Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office)
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in written form
