Gallery Assistant Intern

Description:

The Internship is best suited to someone who has recently obtained a degree in History of Art or Fine Art. This is a multifaceted role that requires an organised, enthusiastic and business-minded candidate with a strong interest in contemporary art. You will be someone who enjoys speaking with clients, who goes above and beyond and is happy to adapt to an ever-changing environment where no two days will be the same.

Responsibilities:

• Greeting guests and visitors.
• Invigilation and camera monitoring.
• Managing the incoming telephone lines and incoming/outgoing posts and packages.
• Processing book orders.
• Ensuring common areas of the gallery are well-presented.
• Assisting with condition checking and environmental reporting.
• Maintaining office and event supplies.
• Assisting with exhibition and event logistics and installations.
• Coordinating with staff on operations.
• Ongoing operational and administrative assistance.
• Digital duties will include assisting with updating the website, 3rd party platforms and other channels.

Experience:

• Customer-facing experience would be advantageous.
• Great attention to detail.
• Computer literate – word, excel, and online applications.
• Excellent written and verbal English skills.
