Hunter Tutoring is seeking an experienced and passionate GCSE English Tutor to join our team in Tyseley, Birmingham. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging GCSE English lessons aligned with the UK curriculum, focusing on individual student needs.
- Prepare structured lessons that incorporate key elements such as note-taking, analysis, and exam practice.
- Mark homework and assessments, offering constructive and actionable feedback.
- Support students with exam techniques, study strategies, and revision planning.
- Maintain a clean and organised classroom environment.
- Welcome students and ensure they are safely picked up after lessons.
- Adapt lesson plans to cater to varying learning styles and progress levels.
- Effectively use available teaching resources, including both digital and physical tools.
About You:
- A PGC qualification is essential.
- Proven experience teaching English (either as a tutor or classroom teacher).
- Familiarity with AQA and OCR exam boards.
- Strong knowledge of Shakespearean texts and GCSE-level English literature and language content.
Key Skills:
- Ability to create engaging lesson starters that recap prior learning or introduce new concepts effectively.
- Strong focus on analytical thinking and written communication within lesson plans.
