ecruit is seeking a detail-oriented and versatile Administrative Assistant with experience in bookkeeping and payroll to join their team in Saltash, Cornwall. As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day business operations. You’ll manage payroll, maintain financial records, and oversee key administrative functions including certification management, invoice processing, and property documentation. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, detail, and precision, and wants to contribute meaningfully to an organised, compliant, and efficient business environment.
Administrative Management: Maintain up-to-date records for property certifications, utilities, and insurance renewals.
Financial Processing: Handle the input and processing of invoices, receipts, and payments accurately and promptly.
Bookkeeping Support: Assist with bank reconciliations, management account preparation, and other financial reporting tasks.
Payroll Management: Oversee payroll operations (shared responsibility with another team member) ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Data Reporting: Create and manage Excel-based reports to support financial and operational decision-making.
General Administration: Perform filing, data entry, document management, and ad-hoc administrative tasks as required.
Proven experience in administrative and/or bookkeeping roles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including use of formulas, pivot tables, and data reporting.
Experience preparing or assisting with management accounts.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills and a proactive, can-do attitude.
Familiarity with property management or property documentation is an advantage, though not essential.
Competitive starting salary of £29,000 per year.
