Global Broker Account Director

 

Description:

The role is part of the Global Distribution team responsible for Broker Management, Client Management, Industry Solutions, Marketing/Customer Experience, Sales Steering/Performance, the Sales Academy and Sales Transformation. The team are located across the globe and this role would be based in London or in a European location.

The Impact You Will Have

As Global Broker Account Director, you will be responsible for developing and executing our broker strategy focusing on select Global and International Brokers. You will be developing and executing strategic growth opportunities, for ensuring excellence in relationship management, and driving the Allianz Commercial value proposition through successful delivery of our services around the globe.

You will also play a key role in Allianz Group initiatives to serve our Global Broker partners, by representing Allianz Commercial and the other Allianz entities, proactively finding solutions and ensuring alignment across Allianz entities.

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:
 

  • Defining and implementing a Strategic Account Plan for each broker on your panel
  • Leading the AGCS/Allianz Commercial relationship for selected brokers as Global Broker Account Director
  • Ensuring that each broker has a clear channel of communication at Allianz, to obtain timely decisions and efficient service improvements
  • Being the ambassador at Allianz for selected global and international brokers, helping our internal stakeholders understand their business and trading environment
  • Facilitating our brokers’ understanding of our underwriting appetite
  • Ensuring that AGCS constantly challenges boundaries and innovates, to provide the most appropriate offering for clients’ ever-changing needs
  • Handling any issues that arise, able to find solutions or escalate as required
  • Working with Legal and Compliance to ensure that processes are compliant at all times
  • Coordinating with regional teams to understand local trading environments and appetites
     

What You’ll Bring To The Role

We’d like to find someone with considerable experience in commercial insurance sales/distribution, in an international context:
 

  • You have a track record in fostering long term, profitable relationships at senior level in broker and/or client organizations
  • Are able to define segmentation and broker differentiation strategies
  • Excellent negotiation skills, with a commercial mindset and able to convince others
  • Ability to influence without authority
  • At ease relationally in all contexts
  • At ease in a changing landscape, able to adapt and drive initiatives for improvement
  • Able to handle data and harness new technologies to optimize existing products and services
  • You express ideas and messages clearly (written & verbally) in English. Additional languages would be a plus
  • Track market intelligence, able to offer insight on global business and trends
  • Proactive and well organized, you demonstrate integrity and reliability
