Description:
The Global Integrated Planning Leader is responsible for designing, orchestrating, and governing the firm’s end‑to‑end integrated planning model globally. This role unifies strategic planning, revenue and account planning, and financial planning into a single, holistic planning framework that aligns long‑term strategy with market‑facing execution.
Reporting jointly to the Global Client & Industries and Finance leadership, this leader will define the global “north star” for integrated planning, establish a consistent enterprise‑wide planning program, and ensure that strategic priorities, go‑to‑market programs, financial targets, and operational execution are fully aligned to one planning process to drive growth.
The role encompasses both an integrated planning strategy and technology enablement, including ownership of the transition to a new integrated planning platform that leverages existing systems such as CRM, Mercury, Talent systems, and aligns with the work underway through MDP. The successful candidate will be a key member of both the FP&A Leadership Team and the C&I Leadership Team, working cross functionally across Finance, C&I, Markets, Talent, Operations, and Technology.
Key Responsibilities
Global Integrated Planning Strategy
Define and maintain the global integrated planning “north star,” aligning strategy, markets, sectors, service lines, financial planning, talent, and ecosystem priorities.
Establish a globally consistent planning methodology, including clear roles, governance, timelines, and decision rights.
Ensure alignment between long‑term strategic ambitions, annual planning cycles, and in‑year performance management.
Cross‑Enterprise Orchestration
Coordinate planning across Finance, Clients & Industries, markets, sectors, service lines, Big Bets, and regional leadership teams.
Integrate demand‑side and supply‑side planning to enable more accurate revenue, margin, and profit forecasts.
Incorporate market insights, competitive intelligence, client demand signals, and pipeline progression into forward‑looking plans.
Work closely with Finance, Talent, Operations, and Markets to ensure the planning model is connected, data‑driven, and scalable.
Growth Strategy & Performance Enablement
Partner with leadership to translate strategy into execution through go‑to‑market plans, sales motions, account strategies, GCSP programs, and ecosystem plays.
Support the development of integrated growth plans tied to measurable pipeline, revenue, and profitability outcomes.
Governance, Rhythm of the Business & Operating Cadence
Establish and govern a unified global planning calendar integrating strategic, financial, talent, and go‑to‑market planning.
Ensure leadership has clear visibility into progress, risks, opportunities, and cross‑functional dependencies.
Data, Insights & Decision Support
Create a consistent insights backbone to enable fact‑based planning and rapid decision‑making.
Partner with Finance, Data, and Analytics teams to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and relevance of forecasts, dashboards, and integrated performance views.
Embed scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and multi‑year modelling into planning cycles.
Provide insights and recommendations on performance and forecast expectations against plan.
Technology, Platform Implementation & Enablement
Lead the global transition to a new integrated planning platform, serving as the business owner for the solution.
Define global requirements for planning systems, including data structures, workflows, integrations, permissions, and reporting.
Ensure seamless integration with CRM, ERP, financial planning tools, talent systems, pipeline tools, and other enterprise platforms.
Lead UAT, global rollout, adoption, and change enablement.
Establish governance for platform usage, enhancements, and ongoing optimization.
Champion automation, digital‑first processes, and AI‑enabled insights where appropriate.
Team Leadership & Capability Building
Design, build, and lead a high‑performing global integrated planning team across functions and time zones.
Establish a global planning network to promote transparency, consistency, and collaboration.
Provide coaching, mentorship, and development to build deep planning capability across the enterprise.
Introduce best practices and external benchmarks to continuously improve planning maturity.
Stakeholder Engagement & Influence
Build trusted relationships with executive leaders across Finance, C&I, Markets, Talent, Operations, Service Lines, and Regions.
Facilitate leadership alignment sessions, planning workshops, and strategy reviews globally.
Act as a senior advisor on ambitious yet achievable targets and ownership models.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Leadership & Strategy
Proven global leadership experience in integrated planning, strategic planning, commercial operations, or cross‑enterprise roles.
Ability to define long‑term strategy while driving disciplined near‑term execution.
Strong capability to navigate complex, matrixed organizations.
Technology & Systems
Experience leading enterprise planning platforms such as Anaplan, Workday Adaptive Planning, Oracle EPM, OneStream, SAP BPC/SAC, or similar.
Strong understanding of planning system architecture, data models, integrations, and analytics.
Ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
Analytical & Commercial Acumen
Deep understanding of the professional services business model, revenue lifecycle, and P&L drivers.
Strong forecasting, scenario modelling, and performance management capability.
Ability to connect financial outcomes to operational and market drivers.
Communication & Influence
Exceptional communication, facilitation, and storytelling skills.
Ability to engage, influence, and gain credibility with senior executive stakeholders.
Strong mentoring and capability‑building orientation
Qualifications
Experience: 12–15+ years in finance, strategy, business operations, or transformation roles, including leadership responsibility.
Education: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Certifications: CPA or other professional certification beneficial.
Location: Remote, with flexibility across global time zones; travel as required.
