Mott MacDonald is offering a Graduate Civil and Structural Engineering program in the transport sector, providing graduates the opportunity to launch their engineering careers in a collaborative and purpose-driven environment. The program includes diverse streams across the UK, allowing graduates to specialise in areas such as:
Ports and Maritime: Design and planning of major port and marine infrastructure projects, offshore renewables, and fuel terminals.
Bridges and Civil Structures: Contribution to innovative bridge and civil structure projects, from small-scale commissions to complex infrastructure.
Special Services: Advanced structural analysis, forensic engineering, asset life extension, and cross-sector design solutions.
Tunnels: Exposure to tunneling projects across transport, energy, and water, with training towards chartership and specialised courses from the British Tunnelling Society.
Rail Civil Structures: Multidisciplinary railway enhancement and renewal projects, including geotechnical, geometrical, and structural design.
Highways: Early Careers Professionals Rotation Programme in highway design, 3D modelling, and project delivery.
Asset Management: Design and advisory services across drainage, pavement engineering, road safety, and sustainability advisory projects.
Local Streets: Projects improving urban and rural infrastructure, active travel, flood risk mitigation, and community development.
Urban Transit (Masters essential): Civil engineering for mass rapid transit systems, including route alignments, tram/rail infrastructure, and network operations.
Graduates will receive mentoring, professional training, and support towards chartership, participating in a three-year early careers soft skills development programme – Accelerating your Future. The role emphasizes technical growth, societal impact, and personal development.
Candidate Specification:
Minimum bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Coastal, Bridge, Façade Engineering, or Engineering Science with a civil specialisation (2024 or later).
Less than 12 months relevant experience (excluding placements).
Strong initiative, communication, attention to detail, analytical problem-solving, and collaborative skills.
Eligibility for UK-based work (Graduate visa or temporary visas not accepted; Skilled Worker visa sponsorship not provided).
