Graphic Designer Intern

Description:

We currently have an open position for a remote full-time/part-time internship in the design department for a Graphic Designer. The duration of this internship would be for a minimum of three months, which can be extended on agreement. This is the time needed for the internship to be valuable for you to learn about the work and be able to see all aspect of the graphic design work. You’ll be joining a passionate team and will be treated as a professional. You’ll be given guidance and support from other members of the team and the company but will always have opportunities to experience real design work. This internship would be remote, and a successful candidate would require a stable Wi-Fi connection, a laptop/computer with a working camera and microphone.

Requirements for the Internship

• Having a portfolio to show with different projects.
• Being a student in related field OR being recently graduated from a related field (We can also take you if you are self-taught, with a strong portfolio).
• Being familiar with design software and technologies.
• Having basic knowledge about UI/UX and being willing to learn more about it.
• Having good knowledge about design and being willing to improve your design skills.
• Having a real passion for design.

Responsibilities

• Design marketing and promotional material across the website and other marketing channels.
• Design promotional web graphics, surveys, flyers, banners, posters, invitations and other advertising and marketing materials as needed.
• Update and improve website and online channels with innovative graphics.
• Support business development campaigns with marketing collateral (ads, emails, logos, proposal templates, etc.).
• Utilise creative thinking to create new ideas and concepts and develop interactive design.

Skills

• Apart from technical and drawing skills, you'll need to show, passion and enthusiasm for design, with a creative flair.
• Knowledge of digital media software – Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe InDesign and other graphic design software.
• Energy, with a desire to come up with fresh ideas.
• A flexible approach when working in a team.
• Time management skills and the ability to cope with several projects at once.
• Accuracy and attention to detail when finalising designs.
• Knowledge of video editing software is desirable, but not essential.
