Growth Manager

Description:

Fifth Ring, an award-winning marketing communications agency based in Aberdeen and part of DC Thomson, is seeking a Growth Manager to help drive new business development efforts and support the agency’s growth across Europe. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with internal teams to build proposals and secure new business with clients in industries such as energy, maritime, technology, and more.

As a Growth Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and securing new partnerships. You will work closely with the Business Development Director, Regional/Managing Director, and Marketing Manager to lead outbound business growth activities, manage leads, and build successful partnerships that align with Fifth Ring’s goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and engage new business opportunities across key industries.

• Lead outbound business development activities and nurture relationships with potential clients.

• Collaborate with internal teams to create compelling proposals tailored to client challenges.

• Respond to tenders and attend networking sessions and events.

• Act as a representative for Fifth Ring’s values, people, and commercial interests.

• Manage the full cycle of the new business process, from prospecting to closing.

• Collaborate with Client Services and Delivery teams to ensure client requirements are met.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify opportunities and address business challenges.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

• Active listening and the ability to engage with C-suite executives.

• Experience in creating and executing compelling communications strategies.

• Knowledge of B2B marketing communications is a plus.

• Passionate about learning, working in a collaborative environment, and driving performance.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media literacy.
