We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable HE Mechanical Engineering Lecturer to join our Higher Education team at University Campus North Lincoln (UCNL) and University Campus Doncaster (UCDon).
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to programmes at Levels 4 and 5, deliver high‑quality teaching, and support students through their academic journey. Working within a supportive and collaborative team, you will help shape the future of engineering talent across our region.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you will:
- Deliver engaging, high‑quality teaching across Mechanical, Electrical, General and Manufacturing Engineering modules at Levels 4 and 5.
- Provide academic and pastoral support to students, acting as an Academic Tutor where required.
- Contribute to curriculum planning, development and continuous quality enhancement processes.
- Prepare programme documentation, support assessment processes, and engage with external examiners.
- Play an active role in student engagement, evaluation processes, and promotional/HE outreach activities.
Essential Criteria
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Degree/Level 6 qualification in a Mechanical Engineering discipline.
- Strong subject knowledge in mechanical engineering theory and practice.
- Experience of, or the ability to demonstrate understanding of, teaching and supporting undergraduate students.
- Excellent organisational, analytical and communication skills.
- A commitment to quality assurance, academic standards and working flexibly to meet deadlines.
