Aventis Solutions is seeking a Head of AI, Data Science & Data Engineering to architect, build, and deliver a cutting-edge AI strategy and drive transformative initiatives across the company. The position is remote-based with flexibility in travel to the London HQ and New York tech team.

This leadership role will allow for vertical and horizontal progression as the company expands, with potential to become a fully-fledged CAIO (Chief AI Officer) as you prove your capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and management of a data science / AI technology team

• Oversee the expansion of the AI Innovation Team (R&D lab initiative)

• Drive AI initiatives across the organization, ensuring alignment with business goals

• Mentor and scale multidisciplinary teams

• Lead strategic thinking to align AI and data engineering with broader business objectives

• Manage data governance, quality, and architecture strategies across teams

• Stay up-to-date with AI trends, ethical AI principles, and data privacy regulations

Requirements:

• Proven experience in senior leadership roles in data, AI, or software engineering

• Strong knowledge of modern data technologies like cloud platforms, big data ecosystems, AI frameworks such as Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, Microsoft Fabric, etc.

• Extensive knowledge in AI/Data Governance, Data Science, Data Engineering, Data Architecture, and Data Operations

• Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of mentoring teams and scaling them effectively

• Financial services experience or knowledge is a plus (e.g., working with banks, insurers, or asset managers)

• Passion for innovation and delivering high-impact solutions using the latest technologies (e.g., LLMs, ChatGPT, Groq, Azure ML)

• Fluent in English (written and oral)
