Description:
The 10,000 Interns Foundation is seeking a Head of Fundraising and Development, a strategic and dynamic leader who will drive income generation across diverse revenue streams and forge impactful partnerships to fuel the next phase of the organization’s growth.
This is a high-impact, senior-level position reporting to the Chief Impact Officer (with a dotted line to the COO). The successful candidate will be an integral member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and play a central role in aligning fundraising activities with programmatic goals and social innovation.
You will spearhead efforts across corporate partnerships, trusts and foundations, public giving, individual giving, and strategic membership models, with the goal of long-term sustainability and strategic growth. The position offers the opportunity to shape a growing team and work across the organization to embed value in all fundraising and partnership activities.
Strategic Leadership:
Identify and develop new income opportunities, such as CSR partnerships, innovation funding, and high-net-worth individuals.
Align income generation strategies with the organization’s programme delivery and innovation roadmap.
Make data-led decisions to support income diversification and financial sustainability.
Fundraising & Income Generation:
Lead fundraising across all key streams: corporate partnerships, individual donors, trusts and foundations, and membership.
Design tailored proposals, cultivate funder relationships, and ensure effective stewardship to maximize donor value.
Deliver timely and comprehensive reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
Partnership Development & Management:
Build and manage long-term strategic partnerships aligned with the organization’s impact agenda.
Represent the Foundation at events, networking sessions, and sector forums.
Ensure partnership goals and deliverables are met, while monitoring associated risks and outcomes.
Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting:
Develop systems to monitor income streams, donor engagement, and partnership KPIs.
Support board-level reporting and work with the Impact Team to articulate the measurable results of the Foundation’s work.
Demonstrated success in raising funds from a wide variety of sources.
Strategic thinker with a hands-on ability to execute and deliver on fundraising plans.
Deep experience managing partnerships in the corporate and philanthropic space.
Outstanding communication skills tailored for diverse audiences, including funders, board members, and community partners.
Strong project and stakeholder management abilities.
Entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to test new approaches in a growing organization.
Passion for the mission of equity and representation in early careers.
Experience in start-up or scaling charity environments.
Familiarity with impact reporting frameworks.
Experience in innovation-related funding or partnerships (e.g., tech, systems change).
Proficiency with CRM tools for donor tracking and management.
