St Mary’s University is seeking a Head of Partnerships and External Engagement for its School of Medicine (SoM). The successful candidate will work closely with the Founding Executive Dean of Medicine and the School of Medicine Leadership Team to establish the School as a center of excellence in education, scholarship, and research.

In this full-time, permanent role, you will be responsible for the operational and strategic leadership of all external partnership and engagement activities within the School of Medicine. This includes developing and managing relationships with key partners such as the NHS, independent care providers, ICBs, Primary Care Networks, and the GMC.

The key priority of the role is to ensure that the interests of the School of Medicine are promoted and that academic programs meet the needs of students, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities:

• Provide operational and strategic leadership for external partnerships and engagement activities.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers and academic partners.
• Ensure that academic programs meet regulatory requirements and the needs of all relevant stakeholders.
• Work alongside the leadership team to promote and advance the School’s vision for excellence in education and research.
• Manage faculty development and undergraduate medical education programs.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Significant senior operational experience in a higher education setting, ideally with both undergraduate and postgraduate education.
• Experience managing external stakeholders in health and medical disciplines.
• Leadership experience in medical education, faculty development, or partnerships within higher education.

• Salary: £60,321 - £69,757 FTE.
