This role is designed for a strategic leader who can elevate product integrity, enhance customer trust, and embed quality as a key differentiator within Gymshark’s global supply chain.

As the Head of Quality Assurance, you will define and execute the long-term quality vision and roadmap, aligning quality standards with Gymshark’s brand promise of excellence and performance. You will lead a team of high-performing quality professionals, drive supplier excellence, and implement Total Quality Management (TQM) principles to ensure every product meets Gymshark’s rigorous standards of durability, safety, and consistency.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

• Define and own the long-term quality assurance vision and strategy in alignment with Gymshark’s global objectives.

• Position quality as a core brand pillar and a key competitive differentiator.

• Establish a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence across the business.

Quality Management

• Oversee the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) systems and frameworks across global suppliers.

• Develop and lead control plans and quality standards to ensure product consistency, performance, and compliance.

• Promote lean manufacturing principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste in production.

Supplier & Partner Excellence

• Drive supplier quality performance through technical audits, corrective action plans, and improvement initiatives.

• Implement a Certified Factory Auditor (CFA) program to scale quality monitoring and enable supplier self-assessments.

• Manage and align third-party QA providers with Gymshark’s global standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with product development, design, and supply chain teams to ensure quality is embedded from concept to production.

• Oversee seamless handovers between development and manufacturing phases.

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address quality challenges proactively.

Data-Driven Decision Making

• Leverage data insights from returns, customer feedback (VOC), and performance metrics to guide quality improvements.

• Conduct root cause analyses and deploy corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurring issues.

• Establish quality KPIs and reporting structures for leadership visibility.

Compliance & Governance

• Ensure full compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and Gymshark policies.

• Maintain 100% supplier audit coverage, ensuring timely closure of any non-conformance findings.

• Drive adherence to environmental, ethical, and sustainability standards across the supply chain.

Budget & KPI Ownership

• Manage the Quality Assurance budget effectively while achieving all performance targets.

• Report on key quality metrics and lead initiatives to improve cost-efficiency and performance consistency.

Skills & Qualifications Required:

Essential Skills

• Proven track record of leading a global quality function in apparel, textiles, or consumer goods manufacturing.

• Deep understanding of TQM, quality frameworks, and supplier audit management.

• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Strategic thinker capable of influencing across all levels of the organisation.

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing international supply chains and working closely with offshore manufacturing partners.

• Ability to operate effectively at both strategic and operational levels.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.
